About the job We're looking for an in-house beauty and wellness-obsessed Content Creator and TikTok pro to join a successful women-owned Los-Angeles-based lifestyle brand that’s elevating the hair, skin, and self-care game from the inside out. Our ideal candidate has a mastery of social media, is on the pulse of all things happening in the beauty and wellness space, and knows the ins and outs of creating impactful, engaging content that beauty audiences will stop, watch, and share. Please note - we'll want to see your work! Please be prepared to submit a portfolio or a collection of links, Drive folders, etc. with content you’ve created for social media - TikTok and IG specifically. What you’ll do (in a nutshell): Own content creation for all social media platforms (specifically IG, TikTok, FB, and YouTube), including capturing, editing, posting, and storing a library of content for both immediate and future use. This includes everything from reels and posts to static product shots to photos and video from industry events, activations, professional shoots, and all of the behind the scenes stuff wellness audiences want to see. Work/Life Details: Hybrid-remote: flexible schedule,] with weekly onsite time at the El Segundo office Must be available some nights/weekends and for occasional travel to events Base salary $55-$70k annually depending on experience 100% paid employee health benefits Responsibilities: Create and post highly-engaging photo and video content for all social media channels - primarily TikTok, IG, YouTube, and FB Study and stay ahead of social audience behavior and engagement - what resonates and what could go viral (specifically with beauty, wellness, lifestyle audiences) Create and manage a library of content for social media and for use across paid media, email marketing, and other promotional materials and marketing channels as needed Edit all photo and video content for upload-ready audience engagement and consumption Help to strategize and coordinate content creation opportunities and events, including set-ups, logistics, lighting, set and locations, etc. Regularly attend company and industry events, influencer/client events, and other off-sites as needed, bringing and setting up all necessary lighting and equipment Study social media and creator trends - stay on the pulse of the beauty and wellness industry to make strategic content recommendations and always keep content fresh Work with the Social Media Manager to create and manage social media posting calendars Set a high standard of professionalism for content capture and creation at events. Own each and every photo/video shoot and all of the outcomes Must-have skills and experience: 2+ years of professional content creation experience (either in-house for a brand or at an agency is preferred) Must be available to work onsite out of the El Segundo office several days a week Expert-level TikTok and IG content creation skills A portfolio of photo and video work that demonstrates what you can do with posts, reels, etc. for IG, TikTok, YouTube and any other mediums you might have experience in A passion for content creation - we’re looking for someone who lives and breathes content, is a creator at heart, and is obsessed with the beauty and wellness industry Self-starting. Can work in a self-guided capacity to set-up, capture, and edit photos and video, while identifying potential issues before they arise to produce incredible content Ability to shoot in various settings and lighting - urban, landscape, indoors, etc. Exemplary teamwork attitude and technical and creative abilities Social media expertise and strong experience with the platforms themselves Expertise of video editing software and tools - Adobe Premier, PhotoShop/Final Cut Pro, etc. Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Self-motivated with a strong sense of personal accountability Ability to multitask, and execute and accomplish goals Management and leadership skills with minimal supervision required Posted on Feb 21, 2024.
