Job Title: Semantic Markup Specialist Responsibilities: Responsible for managing content standards and semantic markup Maintain comprehensive documentation of semantic markup standards, processes, and best practices Collaborate with content creators, developers, and UX/UI designers to ensure seamless structure, discoverability, and accessibility of our digital content. Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies that enhance semantic markup capabilities Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in Semantic Markup/Content Markup XML schemas experience Understands the basics of JSON and is willing to learn and use Strong understanding of content standards Good to have: Has working in the publishing industry Is aware of standards such as: Dita IBM, DocBook, S1000D, IEEE LOW, etc.. Experience in long-form documentation Location: Hybrid (Durham, NC) Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $50,000 - $70,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skill, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
